On Saturday, wet, heavy snow caused poor visibility and led to people getting into accidents as they were driving around the Denver, Colorado metro area. A widespread 4-8" of snow fell across the Mile High City. Causing problems on many roadways, including I-25.

The Denver metro area saw rain and wet streets to start Saturday, but then the rain changed to snow and it accumulated at an average clip of about 1" per hour! It was a heavy, dense, and wet snow that stuck to just about everything.

The new powder we've seen is awesome for skiers, riders, and snowmobilers, but it comes with avalanche watches and warnings. Check avalanche.org for the danger near your mountain range.

Any leftover rain and snow will taper off early Sunday. We'll finally see some more sunshine and dry time as we start off the workweek ahead.
